Hey there ladies. Megan needs our prayers. Here is what she posted on FB
"Ry is in the hospital as he started having seizures yesterday afternoon. He is doing well now - on Ativan and stable but they're definitely not febrile seziures, so the neurologist is coming by this morning to consult and run an EEG and maybe an MRI".
her update a few minutes ago is that Ry is having an EEG at 1 and then they will talk to the neurologist. He is doing pretty well, no seizures since 1am when they put him on the ativan. and he's generally squirrelly and wants to get out of bed.
So just keep them in your prayers and send postitive thoughts their way.

Ry had his MRI and they are waiting for the results. but still no seizures and he is keeping down clear liquids so doing well.

Here is the latest update:
So, I met with the neurologist. Ry's EEG was normal, but the dr. agreed that 3 seizure events of such severity in such a short period of time not brought on by illness was definitely not normal. So, we're staying here another night and in the morning, he's going to run a much longer EEG.
If that comes up abnormal, he'll run an MRI and we'll be putting Ry on daily seizure meds as it's probably an autism thing (autistic folks often have childhood-onset seizures). If the EEG is normal, we'll probably still run an MRI but if that's normal, too, we'll go home with a couple doses of immediate-acting meds. If he has another seizure, we'll give him those meds immediately and then take him in to the dr. and get put on daily seizure meds. If he doesn't have another seizure, then it was probably just a freaky one-time thing.
So...whew...more tests tomorrow and hopefully some sleep tonight for all of us!
