In this article, http://eagnews.org/wisconsin-students-boycott-skimpy-michelle-obama-lunch-menu/ it reported that kids are not happy with the size, of their  school lunch and what it contained.  So what changes has your school cafeteria made, and what are your daughter's opinions on them??

I posted about this on the Middle and High school boards. I say bring your own lunch or some sides from home!! Since when is it the school's responsibility to cater to every single student's eating whims? My kids almost always brown bag it, our lunches are too expensive for what you get. It really infurates me that it falls on the shoulders of the district, town, state and country instead of the hungry football player, who is smart enough to learn plays but not enough to grab an apple. My son bought his lunch today at the cafeteria, and he is a football player, he also brought an apple, and extra water, and two cereal bars. I know I am out of line for people to responsible for their own.

What I hate is the enormous amount of food that is wasted.  In our school you must take 1 vegetable and 1 fruit with your meal....whether you like them or not.  So the kids are taking them....and placing them in the trash.  For a country with tons of hungry people.....I mean really hungry people not kids complaining about their portion size......we are throwing away food and that is a horrible waste!  You can make them take the food.....but you can't make them eat it!
