Good morning ladies, its Thursday, how are you today?
Hi all. It was a rough day today, hopefully everyone else's day was better.
I slept badly for the 2nd night in a row (despite turning in early) and woke up tired. Was in a rush to get food prepped and in the crockpot and didn't have as much time to exercise as I wanted. Work was a crazy schedule today. Our teacher had a meeting, our kids had testing, we had school pictures taken, our problem student had a terrible day and presented with new behavioral issues, such as attempting to bite staff and throwing a cup of water at another student during lunch. We didn't get all of our break time today either.
Ian had a regular school day and is working on homework. Kayleigh had school, then a GSA meeting, now volunteering at the arts center.
I'm making a curried bean soup, banana nut muffins and kale chips for dinner. After, a glass of wine and Greys season premiere. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!

Good morning. I would love to stay at home today and finish up some odds and ends in regards to cleaning and moving, but it's not going to happen. Zeph has his classes in the city and that means 3-4 hours in the car and 2 hours of sitting while he is in class. If the archeology instructor offers another session, we'll do it as he is loving this class. I can't see me doing the drive in the snow. I do need to run by the bank too.
I'm waiting for my hair salon to open so I can call and am hoping my hair guy can get me in tomorrow. He cut and colored before I went on our trip and instead of the gorgeous brown it was, it is now a bronzey red. I don't know what happened. The cut and color was $150 plus tip so I hope he can fix it. I've been going to him for almost 20 years and have never had a problem.
Laundry is going (with some already put away) and I'll have more to do tonight. Looking forward to watching Grat's Anatomy while I iron. Dinner is take out. Drier is calling me.
Spent almost 2 hours in traffic this morning. I was exhausted when I woke up, I am a bit better now, I have no voice, but the headache is mostly gone. I am still back and forth between congested and draining. I would love to leave at noon and go home and sleep for a good 3 or 4 hours if I could. I need to run to the art store and pick up a bunch of stuff Jordyn needs, I got a good groupon to get her stocked up on stuff and she doesn't have the time to get down here to get supplies. She picked up another shift at work tonight and is working, I hope she finally has time to sleep this weekend, she's worked every night this week and last week, been up til at least 1 a.m. every night doing homework, 3 on Tuesday night apparently studying for a test that the teacher ended up postponing til tomorrow. I don't even know how she is functioning honestly! I vaguely remembering being young and having that much energy.
I gave Emma a gentle reminder this morning to make good choices and pointed out her new reward jar and told her she'd get to put her candy corn in it when she got home tonight if she had a good day and she lit up, so I hope its enough to carry her through the day! And she said she'd like to decorate the jar this weekend, so I'll go get a few sets of glittery stickers and stuff for her. We also need to work on her family project this weekend, I need to remember to put poster board on the art store list.
Boy, that ended up being a lot! LOL! Dinner is breakfast tonight, chocolate chip pancakes and bacon.
Have a great day!
Morning. I woke the absolute headache this morning. I went to bed with a headache and instead of getting better it got so much worse. I took some Advil right away and moaned and groaned on the couch until it got better. LOL Poor Natalie was feeling poorly when she went to school. I think it's her meds. I've got to call her doctor today and fill her in on how Natalie is doing. Took Matthew to school and went and got my self the last thing I needed, an ice coffee. I will be loading the dishwasher in a bit. vacuuming the floors with the old vacuum. I was holding out for my other one but after replacing the part I discovered that the reason I was having to replace this one part was because another piece had cause it and needed replacing itself. So, now I wait on it to come in the mail. It's still cheaper to fix this thing then to replace the whole machine. This was a pricey vacuum and it made me sick to think I might have to buy another. It's the best vacuum cleaner I've ever had. Tonight I am taking the girls to the homecoming parade. Matthew will probably have a friend over to work on homework. They've been doing their science together and Matthew's grades are getting better. Looks like study group type thing works for him. Proud of him.
Not sure about dinner. Maybe leftovers.
