How often do you receive child support?

On different forums here, I see a lot of posts about child support.  Do you receive child support?  If so, how often?  Does your ex provide it willingly or is it something you've had to fight for?

Have a hearing to start it hopefully soon. In 15 months he hasn't helped at all. No diapers, coupons, holiday gifts, nothing.

I waited over 2 years and now i don't get the full amount that i am suppose to get. I guess that is life.
