Karen I'm under the $10,000.00 mark!!!

This month the DF and I weren't able to throw as much in my debt challenge because we needed to keep money aside for expenses for our October wedding.  We managed an avalanche of $2630.00 which is by no means shabby :smileyhappy:

Debt balance Aug 1 = $16,622.21

Debt balance Aug 31 = $12,267.21

Debt balance Sept 30 = $ 9,637.21

We have 13 weeks before the end of the year and $9637.21 left to pay off.  Can we do it???  Stay tuned for next month's update to see how we did :smileywink:

It looks like you paid over $4K in Sept? Do you live with your parents?

Yikers...DH and I barely make $4K/month in total.

Once you are out of debt, you two will be SET!! Holy moly...

So impressive!! Keep up the great work. I LOVE Oct weddings. We'll be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary next week . . . but not doing anything special, cause we are still working to pay down debt. Congrats to you!!!

Keep it up Kassie! Only 13 weeks to go ... and I am so jealous that you are living in NYC - what a great city! I mean, Montreal is wonderful too, but NYC is something special. Don't think I could live there and save money, temptations are everywhere!

Go Kassie, Go Kassie,

Yes, being under 10 grand is great and that when it really starts to go. I know you guys can do this. Promise me you will celebrate that too as well as your wedding when each thing happens! It is very important!

Bumbling

I challenge you to find a low cost/free way to celebrate 20 years together!

Make a favorite dinner, light candles, play 'remember when' and look at family (including wedding)  pictures?

Drive somewhere beautiful with a picnic meal and talk about your future plans?

Go to a high school football game, hold hands and act like kids going steady?  Even better if you have kids you can embarrass.

I bet you have some great ideas of what is meaningful to you

Kassandra -  you are so sweet, but I fear you are giving me too much credit.  I'm only a little bit away from paying off phase one of my debt repayment plan.  I have these stupid student loans that H's cosigned for DD's education still lurking in the background.
