Hey ladies! Sorry for the radio silence. :smileyhappy: Monday we went in for induction at 7am. Cervidil was inserted at about 10am, was 1cm, 80% effaced and -1 station. At 10pm they admitted me, with the intention of starting pitocin in the am. At that point they came in to do my iv... i have great veins for giving blood, but really sucky veins for IVs apparently. It took 8 tries & 3 people 2+ hrs to get an IV in. My arms look hideous. :smileysad: the next morning they got me hooked up with pitocin & everything got rolling. Contractions were still bearable at that point. Then they came back in & broke my water. Omg... what a change!!! The numbers on the cx readout stayed the same but the pain/pressure combo was too much for me, so i asked for the epidural. It took two tries to get the epidural in, but it defi...nitely helped. It took away the pain, but the pressure was still super intense. At this point it was 6pm. By 2:29 was fully dilated, started pushing and she was born at 3:05am on Wednesday, September 26th... 7lbs, 9oz & 19 inches long. We got home yesterday around 12:30ish and are doing ok at home- it's just taking some getting used to. The breastfeeding thing is finally starting to come together, and Greg has been awesome. ♥ I'm still super swollen in the feet and lower legs, so drinking lots of water and keeping my feet up when I can. Nipples are finally getting used to breastfeeding. Lacey had her first peds appt today, she was discharged from the hospital at 7lbs even, and she maintained that weight from yesterday, so that was good. The nurse practictioner who saw her is also the lactation consultant and was HUGELY helpful, so I feel better about everything in general. And Lacey even survived her first trip to Target on the way home. :smileyhappy: Oh, and DH is totally hands on, and I'm loving it.
