Not sure what we are doing about the car.  He wanted to have his friend come over today so that they could try to replace the belt.  But I'm so sick of him spending hours and hours on the car.  I said screw it...just have it towed, have the shop look at it and give us the bottom line and we will have to make a decision.  He already put about $2000 into it so I really don't want to just junk it.  But I don't want to put too much more money into it.  Ugh...

Haha - you have my permission to be excited, Laurie. The car drama needs to end now!

Sounds like you had a great day, Laurie!

We are out at the IL's this weekend. The kids swam a lot yesterday and one of my friends made the drive out to meet me. She lives halfway between here and my house. We got manis/pedis, stopped at a restaurant and had some light appetizers and a glass of wine, and went to a few shops. I wished we would have had time to do more shopping but we ran out of time.

Yeah, I'm so mixed.  He has put a lot of time, money and effort into the car so I'd love to have it for at least another year.  Its so nice not to have car payments.  And we have 1 more payment on our siding and that loan is paid off too.  So I'd rather not have a car payment so we can focus on doing the kitchen and saving for a new house.  But we also need a dependable car. Its so hard only having 1 vehicle.  Like today for soccer I need to drop DH and Natalie off, then go to Camryns practice and then probably have my mom pick DH and Natalie up because Camryns practice runs later.  I guess he will work from home this week.  He only needs to go in on Tuesday and his friend will bring him.

Well, just looked at the forecast and it doesn't look like there will be soccer today anyway.  Rain will be moving in soon. Totally not sad about that :smileyhappy:   Although this will be 2 weeks in a row that Natalie's session will be canceled.  Wonder if they will extend it a week or 2?  I hope Cam's practice is cancelled too.  I really don't feel like standing outside watching her in the cold rain.  I'm getting Natalie's cold and have a runny nose and a post nasal drip throat.

I made some aloo gobi..yum!  I used sweet potatoes instead of white because that's all I had but it still came out good.  I made stuffed acorn squash yesterday as we got 2 from our CSA.  We also got a huge head of cauliflower, hense the aloo gobi.  I used half so I still have some for the week.
