Hi everyone.  Not too bad of a day at work, but the teacher I work with is really stressing over our situation.

Ian had a regular day at school and is doing his homework.  Kayleigh had a regular school day, doesn't have too much homework and has a 4H TAG meeting tonight plus she's going to run a couple of errands for me.  Ian isn't going along, he's grounded for failing a test and not completing an English assignment and getting a zero.

After work, I exercised, I'm doing a few chores around the house, Ian and I are making pancakes and sausage for dinner.  Tonight, I'll be relaxing in front of the tv and rooting for Gilles :smileyhappy:

Okay, I was thinking homecoming was this past weekend. Do you have pictures on FB? I will have to go check. Did she have a nice time at homecoming at least?

So I get a phone call from Becca at 8:15am.  Figuring she left something here.

Nope it was "Guess what mom- I made Senior Regional!  Not only did I make it- I made the orchestra that I can try out for All-State with!"  Ok- NOT expecting that LOL.  She doesn't practice much (if at all).  Hoping that maybe this will inspire her to practice a bit more.  Because who knows what she could sound like if she put a little more effort into this............

Kind of don't want to tell Kristen b/c I don't know how she'd handle it.  But then again- we were introduced to Kristen 2.0 two weeks ago at Parent's Weekend and I was just amazed at how much she'd matured in a month!

Went to the gym.  Visited my CASA baby.  So frustrated with that.  The garbage that I have to put up with, and I'm NOT GETTING PAID.  Want to quit but everywhere I go they keep telling us that volunteer experience is a good thing.  I've put in resumes for a couple of entry-level city jobs and gotten no response.  Just frustrating.

Orchestra practice tonight.  DInner was going to be chili, but since I was gone until 20 minutes ago going to the store and doing volunteer stuff- that it's going to be sandwiches/soup or anything else you can find.  Hoping that dh will be home in time so he can go to open house and find out about driver's ed.

Jenn I'm sorry about the interview.

If it makes you feel any better- I'm assuming I bombed the 2 ones I had last month.  Because I got no phone call, email etc etc.  And I am more than qualified to do either of those jobs.  SIGH.

Jenn, I am sorry about the interview!! And Hugs to Kenzie, the poor thing. I don't know why guys (and some girls) seem to think they can just jerk around people like that. Is this the one she was going te go to homecoming with, is that off now or did that happen this weekend?

All is quiet here.  Zeph is playing on his DS. DH and Buffy are still sleeping.  She hates the crate and we've caved.  She's a fixture in our bed now.  I've got to get cleaning.  The kitchen is a disaster from the plumber yesterday.  Zeph needs it cleaned so he can bake for game club.  He's got friends coming over to play Risk this afternoon.  All of a sudden his friends are all into board games.  Should be a fun afternoon for them.

The rest of the house is a mess too. I hope to get the living, dining, laundry, and main bathroom cleaned before the kids show up (kitchen too).   Laundry is piled up also.  Hoping DH can run some errands for me this morning.

School work will happen tonight.  Zeph and I are going to start learning Scratch.  He has math and history/literature which just appen to tie in nicely with each other.

I just started reading The Kitchen House and am finding it hard to put down.

Tonight is baked beef stew with whole wheat rolls.

Can someone please convince my kitty she can't open the cat door earlier, now and won't be able to later?  Good grief!  She keeps pushing on that darn pet dor and she's about broke it.  I have a new door I need to to install to replace the old broken one.  I MIGHT do that today.  I am doing dishes and laundry today.  I managed to keep the house pretty much clean all weekend so no big mess to clean like usual.

Today was camo day at the girls school so Natalie let me take her picture.  She looks cute.  I will try to post it below.Katie refused.  I did some sewing on hers to make it fit snug on her hips and I really like it.  I might suggest doing that again, get a t-shirt that is too big and then sew it so it fits snug on thier hips and they can bunch it up.  They aren't allowed to use the rubber band in the back of the shirt to make it fit snug at school.  Not sure of the reasoning but this is a good alternative.

Can't post the pic, image it too big.

Nothing going on tonight.  I forgot to post that.  Mondays are down days for us.  Matthew is having a friend over to do homework together.  I am making pizza for dinner from Papa Murphys.  Yum!
