October LTP!

Winter tires are recommended on highways here from October to the end of April (mostly because of our multiple mountain passes) so I had my winter tires put on today at Wal-Mart. Ben and I went for a walk around the neighbourhood for about the first half-hour, then we did our non-perishable shopping before picking up the car keys.

We had snacktime at home, unpacked most of the groceries and took the other tires out of the car. (They're supposed to be stored in the shed, but first some things need to go to the landfill. Then we'll have room for the stack of tires.)

Then we went to our local grocery store for produce and meat since there was a deal on frozen turkeys. (Canadian Thanksgiving is next Monday.) I was glad to be done the shopping before lunch and now we're set for about a week and a half, since I'm counting on leftovers from turkey dinner.

Afternoon was quieter. Dishes, laundry, and a haircut for Tim when he came home from school. Also remembered to make zucchini loaf.
