dyk, I have never run an entire 5k

dyk, I've come close - with only one 30-45 second walking break

dyk, that was in April when my fitness level was 100 tomes better than it is today
Past Races:
-Boston Run to Remember Half Marathon, 5/29/11 (2:35:11, no training!)

-BAA 10k, 6/26/11 (1:04:52, wanted to be under an hour...)

dyk, I may be overdressed

dyk, I'm warm, but I hope it's just because of all of the people, but the sun is shining so maybe not

dyk, I also think I may be running...I'm going to try it and see how I feel

dyk, my favorite gel is the Cliff Shotblocks..I like the espresso, mocha, chocolate cherry best

dyk, I also like Gu...vanilla is my favorite so far, but I have a few other flavors that I haven't tried yet

dyk, the sports beans are good too, some people like the beans better than the gels

dyk, I thought I had responded...maybe I was distracted....

dyk, but you REALLY shouldn't think of me when you run, I'm not a good influence

dyk, I'm impressed that you actually RUN for that whole time. I can barely make it to a mile outside.

dyk, a couple of fun facts from yesterdays half

-Kung pao tofu is not a good pre-race dinner.

-at about mile 2 I felt like I was going to throw up my cliff bar

-at about mile 4.5 I realized that I had to pee; it wasn't until about 3 hours later that I got to pee. It must have been mental.

-at mile 8-ish I had almost a full cup of Gatorade (usually it's half a cup or less) and a Powerade Gel. The gel was nasty, between the 2 I over fueled, and my stomach was angry.

-at mile 8.5-ish I was HOT and pushed my sleeves up. By mile 9.5 I was freezing.

-shortly after the mile 11 marker there was a gigantic hill. I would like a word with the genius that planned the course.

-I walked up that hill texting. I then realized that my BACK was NUMB. Apparently sweating in 50 degree weather will numb body parts.

-the end of the race was through a zoo. If I'm going to run/walk through a zoo, I expect to see animals.

-they were out of bananas by the time I made the mile walk from the finish to the food tents that were "just down that path"

dyk, I am SO SORE - my legs, back, arms, abs, feet, everywhere really

dyk, my feet hurt to move them, even just to wiggle my toes. I am most certainly walking the 10k today.
