Kinsley Renee's surprise home birth!

KInsley decided to make her entrance 3 weeks early, Sept. 24th here's her story:
Yesterday I was at staff development all day and feeling good, not a twinge, etc. Still thinking I would be past my due date. About 5pm I started having VERY mild contractions about 8 or so min apart, only lasting a few seconds, and very irregular. I didn't think much of them, I thought it was false labor b/c other things that usually happen
when I go into labor hadn't happened yet. I went to the Chiropractor at 5:30 still feeling fine. At home the contrax kept coming, but still irregular and mild, but we went ahead and called the midwife and Doula anyway just to make them aware. About 7:30 I told Kris to get Kristian ready for Karate and he might want to take the kids to Tashia's house b/c they hadn't stopped so I started packing my bag to go. Still feeling ok, mild pains, just enough to stop and moan through and keep packing. Kris left about 8:05, a few min later I went to the restroom, sat down, water broke and out slid Kinsley, no pushes, no pain. I instinctively grabbed her as she came out got her to cry, grabbed a towel, and somehow made it to the bed, thinking my phone was there, but Kris has taken it to the living room. So I sat on the edge of the bed, stressing out, keeping her warm, and trying to get her to nurse until he came home 10 min later. He called the midwife, she came within 20 min. Kinsley is 6lb 5oz 19 3/4 inches long.
She is already letting us know she rules the house. The boys were content to snuggle and sleep after their births, but she wants to be held on my chest all the time to sleep!

Wow! I can't believe you had a calm enough head to catch your own baby. So glad you had an easy birth and everyone is healthy.
