It's getting harder to hide my pregnancy from my 6 and 9 year old girls. My 3 year old son caught me barfing into the toilet this morning and ran to tell "sissies." My 9 year old said, "When the mom on Goodluck Charlie threw up in the morning, she was pregnant." Then my 6 year old asked, "Mama, are you pregnick?" Thanks a lot Disney channel! My husband somehow managed to distract them so I didn't have to answer. I had told my 9 year old about my last pregnancy in March and then miscarried, so I don't want her to go through that disappointment at her age again and am waiting until the first trimester is over this time. I have had three babies but also four miscarriages, so I'm definitely not ready to tell them yet, even though things looked good on my nine week ultrasound last Wednesday and my other losses happened sooner. Anyone else having trouble keeping their pregnancy a secret?
Wow! It's good to see someone from the November 2012 expecting club here. Not that I wanted anyone else to miscarry! But still, it's comforting to have you here.

My daughter doesn't know that I'm expecting but we're preparing her. We talk about the role of a big sister. I think she's the once that finally convinced my DH to have another. She can't wait to be a big sister. I'm so excited for her to find out. We can't tell her until Nov. because she'd spill the beens. We're telling his Mom in Nov. It will be her birthday present.
