Good morning ladies, another 2 hour ride into work today. :smileysad:  My parents arrived around 9 last night, so I was up til around 11 with them.  They were nice enough to get Emma up and onto the bus this morning since DH didn't get in til around 4 a.m. from his job last night.  I am not sure what they are going to do today, probably just relax after the drive down from Michigan.  Jordyn had a chiropractor appointment at 8 and she's working tonight.  I have a dentist appointment at 3 today, so I'll be leaving work at 2:30 for that.  Dinner tonight is spaghetti squash, meatballs and sauce.  I may also pick up a loaf of garlic bread to go with it on the way home.

Have a great day!

Hi all. Trying figure out exactly what to do with myself this afternoon. I'm at work til 1 and then I have about 2 hours. Laundry would be a good idea as would getting a start on dinner. Somewhat busy evening so anything I can get done now will be very helpful. Evan has a doctor's appointment after school and Megan has swim practice. Evan has Scouts later on in the evening and I'm sure they will both have homework. Evan has his phone back (we took all electronics away for gross insubordination and destructive behavior Sunday). Not sure where the laptop stands. We let him use it to upgrade a friend's phone last night (long story but he installed a beta version of the operating system, beta expired and phone was bricked because there was no operating system) and then took possession of it again.

Looking forward to tomorrow. I'm planning on making chicken soup and I'm going to make my first foray into the world of cake pops. Have the cake mix and frosting, I just need to get the candy coating and sticks. Shhhhh. It's a surprise for the family. They know I have a book but they don't know I have a plan. :smileywink: I'll let you know how they turn out.

Yum!!! I love pumpkin anything. I still haven't been able to figure out how to get pictures from my iPad to ivillage so I'm not sure if I can post pictures but I'll try. I may just have to download them to our desktop computer and then post them. I really don't like that computer. It's old, slow, and temperamental. I'm going for basic first-cake, frosting, and candy coating on a stick. The book has CUTE pops in fun shapes, popcorn bags, cupcakes, Santas, chicks, owls, sheep, etc. .

We have 2 of those old, slow and temperamental desktop computers.  SIGH.  Thing is, the downstairs one has all of my job "stuff" on it.  A half-dozen resumes, a bunch of cover letters and websites I've bookmarked.  Those 2 computers also have direct access to MSN, and my hotmail account is the one that gets all of the activity for job searches.  I did have hotmail downloading onto my phone but it's stopped, and I haven't figured out why.

I guess I could just boot up the laptop which is way faster.  But then I'd have to re-do resumes, but I just wonder if maybe that's not such a bad idea to begin with.

I've seen the books and would love to try them sometime with the kids, maybe over christmas break, I have an extended amount of time off due to when the holidays fall this year.

They only time I can upload stuff from the ipad is directly to FB with the FB app, I have given up trying to IV, I just do it with the netbook, though the netbook's cord got fried and Jordyn's computer is not working at the moment, it sucks. All we have at home right now are DH"s business Macs and my ipad. We need to get Jordyn's computer in today, her college essay (I am assuming) is on it, she has a paper copy, but the last thing i need is a full on meltdown from her if everything on her laptop is gone...

Afternoon village people!  :smileywink:  It's been a good day so far.  Girls got out the door with a lack of drama and it was so nice.  Things are so much better with Natalie, but she is still having headaches.  Got them all out the door and off to school.  My mom and I ran up north a bit to a smaller town nearby to pick up some canning jars a friend was giving her.  About 20 minutes after I got home Tim called and invited me to lunch with him.  Came home and noticed all the clocks blinking.  Electricity had obviously gone off while I was out.  BUt Natalie needed something for a headache so I took her something and dropped off a note for her leaving early yesterday.

I am doing some laundry and sweeping the floors.  Done some straightening.    We have volleyball practice tonight and so dinner will be a tad late.  I have a pork roast in the crockpot and soon I will throw in some new potatoes.

Hope you are having a good day!

Hi all. It was a tiring day today.  I got into work to find out that one of the TA's in my room was absent and her sub  was not someone who is really useful, and the classroom teacher was going to be in training all morning, I so was covering for the teacher, short one person and really two with the useless sub.   In the middle of this craziness, we had a fire drill. Ugh.  The afternoon was exhausting with our difficult student.

Kayleigh had a regular school day, stayed after for something and tonight we have to get her signed up for ther AP's and maybe one more go at the ACT.

Ian had a regular school day, took a retest in English and did better. Since he is grounded, he is not going to scouts tonight but Dh is still going.

I'm making a macaroni/beef/pizza style casserole for dinner and am too lazy and sore to make the zucchini fritters I'd planned on. Hopefully I will feel more like it tomorrow.

After dinner, getting Kayleigh signed up for those things, relaxing with some wine and tv.
