Was the repeat easier than the first?

I had my DS in July of 2009.  After 22 hours of labor (with the combination of failure to progress, small pelvis, and baby's heartbeat decelerating) it was determined I needed a c-section.  I am now 32 weeks pregnant with #2 and have a repeat c/s scheduled for 38w5d.  For those that have had repeats, was it easier?  I know it's hard to compare because after my long labor my body was already so beat down before I even had the c/s that I'm sure it was more difficult, so I'm really hoping that the repeat is easier.  Input?  I'm starting to get nervous to have another one.

Yes, I would say the repeat was easier, if only because I didn't go through labor first. I did have more pain, overall, but ironically had an easier time getting up and around. Maybe because I knew what to expect? I would be warned that not everyone has an easier time, although most people I've talked to have said a scheduled, repeat c-section was easier than an unscheduled, urgent c-section after labor.

I will have my 4th C section this month. The second time was better, the third was a breeze. Hopefully this time goes well too!
