Still need to hot glue all the lids on, laminate the tags, and tie the tags onto the bottles.
Picture below.
There are sports themed bottles, animal themed bottles, game themed bottles, and baby themed bottles.
Have six more bottles' worth of "I Spy" pieces. Only have three more bottles. Out of rice. Will have to finish those another day, but feel REALLY GOOD about the progress made today. Still have an hour and a half of scrappy time logged to use, and am just about to nail another 45 minutes.
Oh, and Stacy, you asked about the rubbing alcohol ... a) it helps to color the rice, and b) it helps kill any little bug eggs, so no bugs develop in the sealed bottle as a result of the rice. I also dry the colored rice in the oven for half an hour on 250 to secure that.
Geo we laughed so freaking hard at dinner!!!!!!!!!!!! MJ made a really yummy roasted veggie soup and Natasha made corn bread The laughter begins again tomorrow moring at 10
Thanks! I needed that. Red and Cowboy were LESS than enthusiastic!
The number of things to find varies with each bottle. I think the least is six when I get the dinosaur bottles done. The animals have eight or nine, I think. The baby ones have nine, I believe. The game bottles have ten. What am I missing? The ummmmmm ... oh, yeah, the sports ones have about ten, I think, too.
You shift them around. It's a great quiet activity for car trips or church or whatever you need them quiet for. Our dentist has them in his office waiting room, and at 45 years old, I LOVE them! LOL Thanks for the encouragement! Now let's hope they sell!!!!
It is after 10. I am tired. I am not packed. Well, my clothes are packed, and my toiletries. And my scrappy stuff is half packed and half not. I am going to spend 15 minutes organizing it tonight and then I am going to bed. I have my alarm set for 6:45. That should give me time to finish up before I have to take Sarah to school. Heck, maybe I will be surprised and find that 15 minutes tonight is really all that I need.
I showered tonight so that is done. I thought maybe it would wake me up but it did not.
