This week's Friday Five has a book-ish bent ...

1) What book did you struggle to get through but is something you’re glad you’ve read?

2) What’s a book whose popularity has baffled you?

3) If you could make everyone you know read one book, what would it be?

4) What book have you liked less and less as time has gone by?

5) What book have you loved more and more as time has gone by?

And speaking of books ... I need one of these in my house!

1) What book did you struggle to get through but is something you’re glad you’ve read?

The Poisonwood Bible - a great book although I had to start it about 3 times.

2) What’s a book whose popularity has baffled you?

50 Shades of Grey, the whole series. Now I'm at the point where even if I was remotely interested I wouldn't read it.

3) If you could make everyone you know read one book, what would it be?

Lamb by Christopher Moore. Undoubtedly my favorite book, and it makes me laugh out loud!

4) What book have you liked less and less as time has gone by?

John Grisham novels - I can't narrow it down to one - but there are some authors that the first couple of books are great, but then you realize all their books are the same. Jodi Picoult is the same.

5) What book have you loved more and more as time has gone by?

There are a few - A Fine Balance, The Book Thief, and The Agony and the Ecstasy. Still read them over and over.
