Well, I hope tomorrow goes smoothly.  We have had no consistent routine (school, eating, cleaning, etc) and tomorrow we start back to one.  I expect ALL of us to have some difficulty.  DH is at client sites almost all week, so that helps some.  I do have a few errands to do-pick up pumpkins and corn stalks, renew Y membership, grocery shop- but my goal is for a half day of school and then an afternoon errands.  Hopefully I can get the kitchen and dishes done tomorrow during school.

Looking forward to a home cooked meal.  I'm thinking baked apple pork chops, baked potatoes, and peas with mushrooms and pimentos with apples and hot caramel for desert.

Up really early even though it's a day off.  Dh and I are dropping my car off for some servicing today, I won't be able to get it back til tomorrow and Dh will be heading to Long Island for the day, so I will be without a car. I am a little disappointed since I was supposed to meet a friend for a Starbucks date and then planned to take Ian to see Hotel Transylvania but I will be having an at home day instead.

Ian says he is going to work on his 4H portfolio for the year.  I'm going to do some cleaning, catch up on tivo'd shows, make meatballs and spaghetti, and watch We Need To Talk About Kevin. I also hope to finish my book (Midwife of Hope River).  Kayleigh plans to spend most of the day cycling.

Have a great Columbus Day everyone.

Good morning ladies, I have today off of work. I just got back from parent teacher conferences for Emma which went pretty well overall. we are off in a few minutes to drop my truck back off at the mechanic's, then to breakfast. Jordyn has an eye doctor appt. at 11:45, then we are going to head over to the mall for some shopping, and hopefully get her homecoming dress. I have a chiropractor appt. at :5:30 and then home for dinner and help my parents' pack as they leave tomorrow morning.

We woke up to rain this morning.  It was also very cold.  Got the girls onto the bus and Matthew I got stuck in rain traffic.  I gotta remember to leave a little earlier when it's raining.  Both my cats are asleep on the couch.  I already took my nap.  My doesn't last as long as theirs does.   I have washed a load of clothes and dishwasher is done running. I have some clean up to do still and stuff like that.  Nothing is going on tonight.

Dinne will be leftovers.

Good morning everyone. Today is a disjointed, way out of the norm day and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Kids don't have school but Evan had swim practice from 8-10, I work from 10-2:30, Megan has practice from 1-2:30. She has a ride to practice and I am giving her and a friend a ride home. This afternoon I want to try the cake pops I've been trying to get to for a week now. I baked the cake this morning so I can make the pops when I have some time latere today. Tonight Evan has another swim practice and I want to go to a
Park District meeting. Apparently some members of the community are upset about the amount of time the club gets the main pool during the summer at the outdoor facility and want to have it cut back. This is the only pool in the area that is the same size as summer competition pools. Our club team is where the high school swimmers (state champs for 4 of the last 5 years, and national champs for the last 3 or 4) get their off season competition. We have several swimmers in the Olympic trials and many athletes who go on to swim at the college level. Asking our kids to swim in the indoor venues which are about half the distance of the outdoor pool is like asking basketball and football players to play on half a field or court. I want to go and show my support for the club.

I'm hoping dinner is a pasta bake. I have pasta, Italian sausage, etc. at home. I just need to find the time to put it all together.

Have a great day everyone!

Over the weekend, a rival high school that hasn't won a game in over 2 years won a game at the last minute on Friday :smileyhappy:  Very cool- everyone in the stands rushed the fields after the buzzer sounded, the video and pictures were all over facebook.

Cold and rainy.  Don't want to drive a half hour each way to orchestra rehersal.  But seating auditions are in a week, so Becca needs to go.  She doesn't want to either, promised her something hot at 7-11 (pumpkin spice latte- yum) so that might motivate.

Waiting for Kristen to text back.  Kid is going to drive me nuts.  She's supposed to be on break Weds, but I have no clue if she's coming home (think she is) and have no clue what time she's done.  And seeing that it's a 3.5 hour drive one way- she'd better call/ text soon if she wants a ride.  Kind of hoping that she gets a ride- I don't know.

Depending on that- I may/ may not schedule a job interview.  Last month I sent off a slew of resumes/ applications.  Don't know if I really want this job- but it's an interview, and interviews aren't a bad thing.  But Kristen needs to let me know what's up (and I texted her and said PLEASE) b/c I need to schedule this interview around when I can leave to get her.  Otherwise she's got to wait until Thurs.

Leftover soup for dinner.  I like the cold weather, it's a nice change from the nasty hot/humid stuff we've seen.
