Shelly, how'd you get the boys to eat sweet potato fries? Neither of mine would touch them. Then again, I think they look gross too, so who am I to judge? But I'd love it if they'd eat them.
I can't imagine any kid not liking fries either. Although, Luke does not ever ask for them or act like he cares to eat them if he sees them. Probably because Amber never orders them for him... she will get the applesauce instead. He has eaten the sweet potato fries, but not many.
Having a bit of fun with my vegan friend from the shelter. She often posts gorgeous pictures of her "dinner" on Facebook, so yesterday I did the same. (I didn't mention that I topped it with Parmesan cheese.)
Beware sweet potato fries! I bought a bag of frozen ones, and the directions were downright wrong, and they were underdone and nasty!
Start with sweet potato CHIPS in a bag in the snack aisle. Aldi has them for a good price. They are quite different from regular potato chips, but quite addictive!
Yah. It was red onion, garlic, green beans, red bell pepper, yellow squash and mushrooms, sauteed in olive oil and seasoned with sea salt and fennel seeds. Served over browned slices of packaged polenta, and all of it topped with parmesan cheese. Healthy!
My vegan friends do not eat dairy products. I don't think I could live without cheese......
Gaye, i could not live without cheese either! I know I always talk about what a cheese freak I am and that I add it or double it in most recipes... it's kind of like how some people are with chocolate or sweets...
Anyway... I think I would like this concoction you had, well, all except that fennel seed... ick!

Wow, I can't imagine an anti-fry kid. I am not the world's biggest fry eater, but I eat them. My kids love them.
We had BLT's!
