Are you painting a room for your baby? If so, what color?
I really want to paint my baby's room pink, because it's my first girl!
Right now the color is a light beige and I feel like it's kind of boring. The problem, is that I really want to put this decal up in the room:

I bought it today at Target. But I'm not sure it will look good on a pink wall...if it will show up enough and if it will just be TOO much pink. KWIM? Thoughts? I wish they had one in white, but they don't. And I don't want to spend a lot more than that...I've seen lots of white trees online but they are like $85. This one is only $17. Thoughts?
Oh, and if you have a nice shade of light pink in your house, let me know the name of the paint!

As far as my wall goes, I'm not painting it. The baby will be sharing a room with my older DS and his room is light blue and navy blue with an orange accent, so it'll fit for the new little guy too.
I love that decal! I did one in my son's room & it really ended up looking great! I don't know if it would show up as well on a light pink wall but you could always just take one of the lightest leaves/flowers from the decal to the store with you when you to pick out paint & see how it looks that way. I've seen lots of rooms done in gray with pink for little girls & always thought that looked really nice & not over the top. But I def understand wanting to go pink, pink, pink!
I'm going to get ambitious this go 'round when painting because I want to stripe the walls. This is the nursery set I'm going to buy & I just love the look of the walls as they have them painted it this picture:

My cousin and his wife just did their daughter's room with that bedding. The top is stripped vertically and the bottom is solid pink. Here is a pink I found of it.
Yeah, I think the pink leaves might not show up on a pink wall.. Is there anyway you can do an accent wall (like light green) and put the decal on that wall? I'm thinking of doing that in my LO's room too.
Right now we're renting a house, so I'm not sure what we'll be allowed to do in the way of painting. Right now it's kind of a cream color, so I might just have to leave it light and put up some really colorful curtains or something. My sister gave me her Pottery Barn crib set (that I actually bought her when she was pregnant with my niece) so I'm going to go off of that set when I decorate. The sheets are red and white gingham and the crib skirt it white with a light green stripe and the bumper has vintage looking bunnies on it. I probably won't use the bumper since they're claiming that it can cause suffocation (?). If it's a girl, I'll probably paint the dresser a light blue color and sew big strawberry pillows that incorporate the red, green and blue.. It's hard to describe, but I have a vision in my head, haha.. Here are the pictures that kind of gave me the idea..

For a boy, I'm going to do an outdoorsy themed room. I'll paint the dresser fire engine red or navy blue and I really want to learn how to make a mobile out of felted animals that you would find in the north... Like this little guy..

I have a lot to do and just realized that I have 4 months do get it done.. Yikes!
I know, right!? I used to be obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake when I was little and I've never fully recovered from it.. hehe..
Here is the bedding I bought too:

I'm so indecisive! May go pick up a color sample tomorrow and then see what I think. This is stressful, but fun!
