For those of you that are married, what do you tell your spouse if you are planning to spend the night away from home with your AP?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I never tried that, so no advice here, but I imagine people say they are going on a girls night to a local spa or casino, or maybe something work related.  When I was still married, I would go to a hotel about once every six months just to get away for a night on my own, but that was before I had an A.  You have to pick something that fits your life.

What JJ said, it has to fit in with your lifestyle. I usually say I'm going interstate to see clients, I'm self employed so so it's hard for H to track the legitimacy of it. Whatever you decide on be sure you can back it up somehow, be careful.

as other posters said, it has to fit in w/ your regular routine, work, family, whatever it is that you'd normally, even if rarely, take a trip, that's the excuse.. plus the destination needs to be the same so that if you get stuck, your locale doesn't raise eyebrows..

if you never travel for work or family, it'd be hard to come up w/ a reason why you are away..

Yea, it's different for everyone. Mine works a lot of hours, so I act like I am staying home and get back way before he does. Don't have to make excuses, but I do have to watch the phone and talk to him.
