Good morning ladies, its Tuesday, how are you today?
Good morning ladies. My car is in the shop (again), so DH took Madison and I to work and school this morning, not a pleasant ride at all as DH and I are at a bit of an impasse on a few issues at the moment. My parents and Jordyn were putting Emma on the bus this morning, then going out to breakfast before they headed out of town back home. Jordyn had to be into school early for something, then she's at work this evening. I am sitting down with the big boss for a few minutes later this morning now that she is back from vacation for the first of what I assume will be many little updates on what exactly is going on with my job, or at least what she knows. I brought lunch and will probably go outside for some fresh air later to eat lunch. DH will pick me up after work, go get Madison, drop me off with my car and then go pick up Emma for the evening. Dinner will depend on when we get home, either left overs or zucchini pie.
Have a great day!
Zeph is up working on chores. Showers and school to start soon. He has a friend coming over this afternoon for a couple of hours. I've got some cleaning to do. DH is home today, but I have a long to-do list waiting for him.
Last night he got stuck in traffic and called to say he would be home late, so I moved last night's dinner to tonight. I just started reading a Steve Jobs biography. DH really liked it when he read it and is eager to chat about it.
Morning. Natalie had trouble getting going this morning. Ended up in clothes she was not happy about, I needed to bring her pill to her to take so I brought her a pair of jeans to change into. Guess she knows now to get up on time, it does matter. I took the opportunity to run to Target and get a refund cause i was over charged. I picked up a Starbucks with my Target gift card while there and stopped at Lowes to price a piece of wood to replace my table top. I plan to redo my table, I hate the one we have. I want a wood table. Came home to find my naughty cat in a room I had blocked off with a very tall board so she had to of hurt herself getting over it. Too thin to balance on or sit on. LOL She ended up on the back screened in porch. I am doing laundry, dishes and whatever else I find needs doing. I have bean soup cooking in my crock pot and will be making corn bread to go with it.
Tracy- I hear you on car "stuff". Dh car had $300 worth of work done on it last month. He's got to take it back in for another $150 worth of work. And then there's the van- I haven't gotten that looked at lately- I know it's WAY overdue. Probably needs shocks- that car is so bumpy when we ride in it (and no, I don't think it's because it's on teenage driver #2 LOL)
Did errands today. Kristen decided she wants to come home for break, and since dh is taking this afternoon off for a doctor appt- I get to do the drive tomorrow. Yipee. Her stand partner in orchestra lives about 40 or so minutes away from here, needs a ride so we're going to drop her off. I'm kind of hoping that maybe Kristen can get a ride back with her on Sunday, and maybe we as parents can work something out for this year to share the 150 mile drive to campus.
Did some errands today. Should probably do laundry- I have no idea how much Kristen will be bringing home (and doing herself LOL). Told her to anyways- it's far cheaper to do it here than in the dorms.
Soup tonight, I have leftover chicken. No clue what the family's eating tomorrow. Kristen's last class ends at 4, so I won't get there until 4:30 or so- it's going be probably 9 tomorrow night when we get back here. Ugh. There are just some times that I regret not letting her have a car on campus..............
So just out of curiousity I looked at train tickets and bus tickets from school-home.
Amtrack was $113 before taxes and it would have taken her 12! hours.
Greyhound was better- $65 but that was 6 hours, and she'd have to change busses.
It costs us $40 in gas both ways.
Needless to say- driving to and from is the cheapest.
Hi everyone, happy Tuesday. I had to pick my car up this morning from its oil change. Work was a pretty easy day, three of the kids in my class including the behavior problem kid were absent. After work, I did a bunch of errands, came home and exercised and now making breakfast for dinner. Tonight, I have to adjust the thermostats, do some school/transcript/test related stuff online for Kayleigh and then watch the Dancing results show.
Kayleigh had a regular day. She is so much less stressed now that she's dropped AP physics and is just taking regular Regents physics. She stayed after school for art club, and is really excited about ceramics class - she's working on a piece which will be entered in a local art show later this month, and she's counting down to her bike race this weekend, all of her registration details arrived today.
Ian had a regular school day and has scouts tonight.
