Hi! I've been corresponding w/ a guy from Match. I decided to google his user name and it showed him as having a Profile on Match and from Chicago, IL. This is a different city and state than what his Profile actually says. When I click on the Profile link from the search results, it takes me to his Profile (with pics) and it shows the city/state in which I live (and not Chicago). Yet the search results on the summary page clearly show Chicago, IL. This leads me to believe that he recently changed his city/state and the cached results are still showing in google. It makes me feel like he's either trying to meet women in other cities (he's in sales and travels) or he's some kind of scammer? I searched my own user name and user names of other members and the google results all show the correct city/state.
Comments? Be leery of this guy? I emailed him and stated that his Profile previously showed Chicago (but didn't state how I knew that) and asked if he's on the move. He hasn't replied yet, but I just sent it. I wanted to call him on it without being too accusatory.
What do you think?

I know of a guy who put a different city in his profile. He says he wants to know how "marketable" he is in another city.
I've never really thought of Googling user names before I meet someone. In one way if you found out a guy's real name and Googled it, it would be good to know if he had been convicted of crimes or something like that, but then again, in the old days we somehow managed to date people we met in bars & didn't know anything about & we still survived.
I've checked people out before but always try to keep an open mind before judging them. He might have just moved back. You just never know. Sometimes I think there is just way too much info available out there and have found many times that it's not all the way it appears. Just go it slow.
Be suspicious all you want. I just think it's such a small thing to be so concerned over. Just because you mentioned it, that doesn't mean everyone would.
Sure, I could be wrong, I just happen to think I'm right.
It could be true that he just moved, but after reading tons of OLD profiles, I find that guys who just did move (I'm talking from some distance away not the next town) will usually say something like "I just moved here, I'm new to the area" etc.

Remember that with the internet finding out maps, local news etc is very easy.
I'm going to pass on the one who wrote back to me to tell me that he recently moved. I have a bad feeling. Always go with the gut.
