Checking in late today. Been busy doing odds and ends and driving the "mom taxi" today.

Both kids are at swim practice and dh is at Aikido so I'm taking a rare opportunity to watch some recorded shows and eat junk. Next few days are going to be busy so I'm recharging before the weekend.

Dinner is pan-fried chicken and rice when the kids get home.

Happy vice presidential debate night everyone.

Hi everyone, one more day til Friday, yippee!  It was a pretty quiet day at work, other than the fire drill.  I did go in early for a faculty meeting, and was the only TA there.  After work, I went to the bank and came home to exericse. NOw I'm making a favorite chicken dish.

Ian had a regular school day. He got assigned to his group for his trip to Ellis Island next week.  He and these other three boys have decided that they want to room together on the Washington DC trip this spring. I hope that works out, because it's rooms of 4 and if you have a group of four, you can request to room together.

Kayleigh had a regular school day, then GSA meeting, then volunteering at her class at the art center. She is on her way home right now.

It is getting dark way too early.

Tonight, tidy up and a couple of quick chores after dinner, then hopefully hang with the family, relax, watch some tv, maybe order some new clothes online - I need tops/sweaters for winter

Hi. I am not sure if I have posted here or not but I have def been lurking for a few weeks. I run the zoo that is my life.  In my zoo are my hubby of 18 yrs, dd11, ds4, dd3, a beagle, 2 cats and a gazillion fish. To add to my crazy life I offer both regular and drop in babysitting. Currently I am working with 4 clients/7 kids. THankfully I don't have them all at once! My hubby and I also volunteer with the jr high ministry at church each week.

As for my day today, it is wonderful! DH is home today, I had one bonus kid this morning while DD3 was in school and have 2 bonus kiddos now. They will go home sometime around 8 I think. DH is making dinner so that is off my list of things to do. Life is good, thats for sure!

Good morning! Bad traffic again, its really starting to wear on me, not to mention I fell asleep watching the baseball game, woke up at 1:30 to Jordyn still awake doing chemistry and DH not home. He came in soon after that I think, I vaguely remember him coming in at some point, so it was hard getting him up this morning to get Emma up and around. I should have known and got up when my alarm went off at 5:15, but it just wasn't happening. Madison and I were up and out the door, DH ended up sleeping late and took Emma to school, but at least she made it there on time. Its humid and cloudy here today, I'll have to check the forecast. I am supposed to walk on lunch with a co-worker, not much else planned for the work day. I got chicken out for dinner, not sure what I am doing with it yet, I don't really want to stop at the store after work, so I need to figure out if I have stuff at home to make any actual meal with it or not.

Jordyn has school, then straight to work to cover a shift for one of the coaches that is having surgery this week, then to the school for a cheerleading sleepover. This is the first year of the "backyard brawl", the brand new high school versus the existing high school's football team, the game is tomorrow night, but they have a pep rally tomorrow morning and the cheer coach decided to start the tradition this year of a cheerleading sleepover at the school and decorating of the gym for hte pep rally. Will be interesting to see how it works, I assume Jordyn got all her homework done and won't need to do any tonight, but she's already working on little sleep this week and is not the friendliest person when she's tired... I offered to get her out of the sleepover part of it, but she said it was fine, she'd deal with it. She had wanted to get her early decision college app in last night, but that didn't happen, so I assume we'll be pushing that off til this weekend now.

And I think that's it for my babbling for today. Have a great one!!

I think I'm coming down with something.  My nose is runny and my eyes are watery.  Zeph got a horrible night sleep last night due to congestion.  Zeph has two outside classes today, but I'm thinkig we might be better served staying at home.  Today is the class on Mesopotmaian withcraft/religion and he has been looking foreward to it.  We'll see how we both feel in an hour.

Not much else going on.  I have some appointments to set up and some housework.  Tonight DH and I need to finish discussing the holiday budget and gift ideas.

Dinner is southwest chicken pot pie.
