Redraw today, so anxious...

I had my 3rd beta drawn this morning and I should hear this afternoon how they turned out.  The first two weren't quite double, so I am very nervous with my history of 8 or so losses in the past 2 years.  I know we just met, but if you could spare a few prayers for me I would really appreciate it.  I am just so anxious and nervous about finding out.  It has been 4 of the hardest days with being in limbo once again.  Thanks so much!

Your HCg numbers are great! The normal doubling time is 48-72 hours so you fall well within that. They aren't off or slow at all. Many people fall within the 48 hours so the information gets skewed, especially on the Internet. My progesterone with this pregnancy was 20.1 and that is also usually considered normal. I personally wouldn't take extra without speaking with my doctor and I am also a nurse but extra progesterone doesn't adversely affect pregnancy. I would be more concerned with the side effects progesterone can have on my own body! Hope if you get another check your numbers look better for your own peace of mind but those numbers are good! I imagine I would question and stress over evrything though if I had been through all you have. You are one strong mama!

Thanks! I am always on the fence...when you don't have someone who checks, I tend to panic. When I get them checked, I freak over the values. Not sure there is really a better way, but I like that the RE does an u/s and follows closely so at least I am not thinking everything is fine until an 8 wk u/s. I posted on a professional MD board about my numbers, and he feels my progesterone is too low and that I should up my dose. Ironically, I was thinking that this may have something to do with why my numbers never seem to go up well so I had already taken an extra dose. So I am taking 2 extra doses over the 4 days to see if the next numbers are better. Perhaps it will be enough to push me over the edge. Crossing my fingers for 1220 tomorrow :smileywink: Trying to stay optimistic, but not get my hopes up too high.

I'm on another pregnancy board and the doctor 'told' her, her doubling numbers weren't good at all, and she should be ready to m/c.....well, guess what? she is 22 weeks along now & a healthy baby!

so keep your chin up!  :smileywink:

I don't even get my numbers checked....I don't need the added stress.  I just 'patiently' wait for my 1st u/s at 8 weeks. :smileyfrustrated:

54 hours is great, and I like your progesterone of 19 also!

Yeah the numbers are a crazy thing... So many women's numbers are sooo different than others, so there's nothing to really go by to make you feel better. I remember 2 weeks of blood draws and numbers making me nervous... How many weeks are you? I'm pretty sure 440 is really good for the beginning. I used a chart online while waiting that both made me feel better and drove me crazy at the same time.

Oh what a mess!  I waited all day for them to call me back and took the phone into the bathroom when I took a shower before work.  Of course the kids moved it and it got wet...just in time for the nurse to call me.  I ended up having to email DH and have DH call the office because they couldn't hear me talking!  Anyway, my numbers didn't double :smileysad:  However, they did go from 130 to 440, which means the doubling time went from 60 hrs to 54...so at least some progress.  I don't feel like I am out of the woods and I would much rather have seen 520, but at least the doubling time is getting shorter so hopefully that is good news.  Progesterone was 19...ok, but I would rather see >25.  I am going ot take a few extra suppositories I think over the next few days to see if it will help boost it and maybe that will increase the #'s faster.  I know, I shouldn't play, but I'm a nurse and that's what we do.  They are going to call in the morning after they talk to the doc to see when I need to go for more bloodwork.  I am guessing Sunday or Tuesday.  Hopefully they will be closer to doubling at that point.  Thanks for the P&Pt's and please keep them coming.  What a test of patience and faith!
