My RE told me that as well! I never did try it. I actually forgot about that until now.

Okay, I dug out the sheet the dr gave me with instructions. He wrote plain robitussin one tablespoon every day. Also, don't forget that you shouldn't use any NSAIDS like ibuprofen because it can thin the lining of your uterus. My doctor wrote that Tylenol is preferred mid-cycle.

I have tried tussin but it was not a big difference. I never knew ibuprofen was not recommend for ttc. It is the only thing I take for headaches and pms. Uggh tylenol don't work for me. Guess i got to toughen up in times of need. Lol

You want to make sure that you use the regular Robitussin DM, not ones with antihistimines or decongestants, these can actually dry out your CM. The main ingredient needs to be Guaifenesin, I believe that Mucinex also has a product that will work.

Here is an article that discusses it a bit further, I hope it helps: http://www.ivillage.com/trying-conceive-can-robitussin-increase-cervical-mucus/6-n-145389

If you are worried about your CM, you could also try Preseed, which is a sperm friendly lubricant.
