Do you have a food mill?

I was watching Martha Stewart make marinara today, using a food mill.  That is one tool I have wanted since I was making baby food, but have never bought.

Do you have one? I looked them up online, you can get one for as little as $12 or as much as $103 (no thanks).

I'm planning my Christmas list and a food mill might be something my daughter would like; she also wants a grapefruit knife.  I hate to admit it, but after Mom died, my daughter and I RAN to the kitchen and tore it to pieces, looking for the grapefruit knife.  We never found it.  SIGH...

@k_roni, That's a bug they're going to fix. In the meantime, it might be helpful to address your posts like I did here, or use the Quote feature.

Hi Shell!  I'm glad you  dropped in!  A food mill is perfect for making baby food.  I used a blender to make mine.  But you have a while before you will be making baby food!

I LOVE my food mill - I use it all the time! Put that on your Christmas list along with the grapefruit knife!

I also use the spoon to scoop the insides out from canteloupe and squash, etc.

That is a nice tip!

Yes, we have a food mill that was a wedding gift from my husband's family in Italy. I only use it to make sauce when the tomatoes are ready from the garden. It is a nice tool to have.

I have a grapefruit knife at our cabin but keep grapefruit spoons here at home. The kids love grapefruit but I also use the spoon to scoop the insides out from canteloupe and squash, etc.
