Varicose Veins....They are where? TMI

HI Ladies( Possibly dads) I am 28 weeks and 3 days pregnant and My LO is measuring big (about 32 weeks) And Im starting to get varicose veins on my inner labia. They are filling with blood and becoming VERY swollen and painfull. I told my doctor about them and he says there is not much to do about them but they should go away after birth( which mine do but they never become this painful.) If anybody has anything helpful for me to do to reduce swelling and pain PLEASE share. I am already on bedrest because im dialated to almost a 2 and i also take hot baths to help but i only can do that during the night because i do have a 23 month old who is extremely active and does not take naps.

Sorry you're suffering with varicose veins, especially when you already have so much goin on. I have a friend who has had problems with varicose veins in that area in her last 2 pregnancies too. Compression stockings on your legs can help further up so maybe these are worth a try? I hope you get some relief soon

Bummer!  I can commiserate to a degree.  I've had awful spider and varicose veins (looks like I've been hit with a fast ball in my calf) since very early on.  This is my 3rd pregnancy.  I wear a compression thigh high (as the variocities go ALL the way up) and it certainly helps, but I still feel the ache and or pinching occasionally.  I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping it all goes away post-baby!
