Sibling Age Differences

I'm finally coming to terms with the age difference between Connor and baby #2. We've been TTC for almost a year, as we were hoping and thinking that there would only be a couple year or less age difference between the two. Of course, that didn't go as planned lol! Now they will be exactly 3 years and one month apart! It's a little more than we were thinking, but I'm finally becoming OK with it. I know Connor will be old enough to be a huge help to us, to understand that we are having a baby and he will be a big brother...among other things! IF we try for #3, based on this experience, we will probably start trying very soon after #2 is born lol!

BTDT: How close or far apart in age are your children going to be (or are they now)?

FTM: If you plan on having more in the future, how close or far apart in age would you like your children to be?

I have some signifigant age gaps in our household. When this baby is hopefully born, my oldest will be 18, DD will be 13, and my youngest will be exactly 4. As far as future pregnancies, this will be our last. I really like having the larger age gaps, though most days it has me feeling like Im being pulled in every direction.

My son and daughter are 7 years apart.  There will be an almost 8.5 year difference between my daughter and the new bean.  It's crazy, I know.  Still, I see how close my two are already, and I feel like they will be that close to the bean as well...we are just that kind of family!

I wanted my kids to be closer together. But it worked out this way...and DD will be 2 months shy of 4 when this one is born. They will be 4 years apart in school. That is a HUGE gap. But its okay.

I do want one more. And DH doesnt seem opposed to it. But it will depnd on how this pregnancy goes. I would like to NTNP after this one is born. But I doubt DH will go for that lol!

My DD will be a month shy of 5 when this one is born and DSD will be nearing 7! We originally wanted a little less age difference but honestly I look back at my miscarriages thinking to myself that if we had had a baby last October or this past March, I would have been totally exhausted LOL. I feel like 3 was a VERY trying year for DD and she needed my full attention so I am really glad it all is happening the way it is. DD will be going to kindergarten a month after the babe is born and it'll allow me to split my time up so much more fairly to everyone involved. And I think she really understands what being a big sister is all about now!

If all goes well the LO will be born around May 21st (OB won't let me go past 36 weeks due to my classical c/s incision) then Elizabeth will 33 months older than the baby. I hope that she isn't any younger than that since she was born at 26 weeks.

My first two are 2 yrs 10 mo apart.  I wanted a year and a half, EX wanted 5 years, we landed in the middle-ish.

DH and I have been working on #3 (his 1st) for awhile so the age gap has expanded.  On my EDD of July 5th my youngest will be 12 days away from turning 10 and my oldest will be 3 months away from turning 13. Which, by the way, is almost exactly how is was for my brothers and I, with me being the youngest. They turned 10 and 12 soon after I was born. I wasn't a big fan of it, and still am not, so I do feel a little bad about it.  I just have to hope that my boys will make it a better experience for their baby brother/sister than my brothers did for me.  I know tho that there's only so much they can do as they still have to live their own lives! We are considering immediately trying for #4 but it's not the best idea with our situation.
