I was most surprised by:

1. how long early labor took with my first

2. how easily I caved to pitocin and an epidural when I felt pressured by the nurses

3. OMG the after pains down below (only the first time when I tore a smidge). The ice pack and peri bottle were my bestest friends.

4. The cramping after my 2nd was much, much worse. Every time I'd nurse her it would feel like the worst period cramps of my life. For three days it went on.
