All dressed up and no place to go

As a sick twist of fate, my training regimen has not been sidetracked once for three months.  Long run every week.  Check.  Speed work.  Check.  Tempo run.  Check.  2-3 easy days.  Check.  Lost those last 10 lbs.  Check.

But every. single. race. I planned to run in this Fall will take place without me.   A family/work thing conflicts with all three halfs I was registered for.

Not happy.  For for the first time ever, I'm actually quite prepared for a race.  Yet, no race to run.

Yesterday I literally bumped into a race in progress (through a local park).  I was running that way so I just joined for the mile which matched my route.  Didn't quite do it for me, and, now I feel I should send $20 to the charity for the race.

Rest assured, next spring all of the races I register for will hold no conflicts, but everything under the sun will prevent me from properly training.

So great to know everything is going smoothly. Spring will be no hassles.

That's so frustrating. Congrats on keeping up with the training even when there is no race...
