I just thought I'd mention that I made this tonight for dinner, because it was just me and the girls.

Yes, Dani... just use the can of chicken broth and mix water with it to make the 6 cups of water the recipe calls for.

Oh that soup looks yummm
I have two questions though
My crock pot only has two settings... high and low. Which one would I set it on??
My second question is what is velveeta cheese? (we do not have that here).... is it shredded mozzerella or something?
Thank you

I threw this in the crockpot this morning. We love potato soup and I am going to fry a little bit of bacon for a topping. We leave the soup regular and just add our own shredded cheddar to the top with the bacon bits.
Anyway...my question is this. In the recipe it says to hold the water, milk, and flour and then a 1/2 hour before eating add the milk and flour. I added the water and saved the milk and flour for later. I hope that was right.
Did anyone else try this one...what did you do?

it turned out great and DH and DD both ate 2 bowls full. i made it with the water in the morning and then added the milk and flour when i got home. once it thickened (10-15 minutes) we were ready to go. i grated some cheese and fried up some bacon and threw it on top. it was excellent...a good recommended comfort food!
