Not very good with cooking in a slow cooker.

My question is what to do and what can I use so the roast won't be dry? I was wondering if I should first make a gravy in a separate pot and cover it over the roast.

Thanks!

One thing we have done is to spray the roast with a cooking spray (like Pam) then sprinkle an envelope of the dry Italian dressing mix over it (the pam helps it stick), then put in a crock pot with water covering about the bottom 1/4th of pot.

Hi and welcome. I bumped up a recipe for pork chops in the slow cooker. Chops come out great and I have thought about trying a roast using the same ingredients.
