CP ideas for a picky eater
Mon, 08-21-2006 - 5:04pm

Hello. This is my first post on this board. My DH is a very picky eater (thankfully my two girls are not). I love CP food and grew up on it, but DH doesn't like "mixed" foods. He eats everything seperately, ie: first corn then pots then meat, etc, and heaven forbid the foods touch on his plate!

Does anyone have any CP meals for picky eaters (no tomatoes/tomato sauce, mushrooms, mushroom soup)? I am looking to simplify the dinner process!

I would greatly appreciate it.

Not sure if these count as "mixed" food recipes but theres no tomato sauce ;)

Crockpot Turkey Breast
3 1/2 lb turkey breast
1 14oz can chicken broth
2 tbsp melted butter
3 tbsp worchestershire sauce
1 tsp thyme

Place turkey in crockpot breast side down
Add the rest and cook 8-10 hrs on low

* can also add stovetop stuffing to crock

Crockpot Pot Roast
1 pkg Liptons onion soup mix
3-5lb lean beef pot roast
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp water

Sprinkle onion soup over bottom of crockpot
Add pot roast and cook on low 10 hours
Remove juices from crockpot and put in saucepan
In a bowl, mix flour and water into a paste
Add to juices and bring to a boil till thick for gravy

Crockpot Turkey Loaf
1 lbs ground turkey
1 1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 small minced onion
1/4 cup ketchup

1 tsp salt
1 tsp mustard

Shape all into a loaf and cook on low

Thanks to all of you. I will do the search and see what I can find. I am almost to the point of making what I want to eat and saying if you don't like it make your own food! But, my husband is one who if he can't make something like chicken nuggets he just won't eat. So, we'll see.

Thanks again,
