4 lb. chuck roast
salt and pepper to taste
2 sliced onions
1 can beef broth
1 cup cider vinegar
8 gingersnaps (cookies)
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 bay leaf
3 whole cloves

Make a marinade with the beef broth, vinegar, onions, bay leaf, cloves, salt and pepper, brown sugar. Place roast in large zip lock bag and pour marinade on top. Refrigerate 1-3 days, turning the bag occasionally.
