Hi Ladies!
I see alot of yummy recipes here that call for cook times of Low 7-8 hours, but I leave my house at about 7:30 am and the soonest DH gets home is 5:30. Example being the porquipine meatballs. I would love to make those, but do you think they would be dried out by the time we got home? I know things like roasts do really good during longer cook times. My crock has a warm feature, so would it be better to cook for 8 hours then let it switch to the warm feature until we got home (cook from 7:15 to 3:15, warm until 5:30)? I love crock pot cooking and it is so easy, but it seems alot of the recipes call for cook times of only 7-8 hours. Thanks!

Hey, just to let you know the smart pot is great!!-It is programmable and then it switches to warm for an indefinate amount of time. I also own 3 crockpots-my first was a smart pot and then I bought 2 others without the warming feature at a thrift store just for a variety of sizes for desserts and to multiple cook -wished they all had warm feature though. I could not live without the programmable crockpot I have and I won't live without the warm feature-it helps stuff from burning and sticking!

P.S. I also love those crockpot liners!!!!!!!!

Be sure you come back and tell us how it works.... I'll be getting me a crockpot with a warming feature if it works good.
