Prepping the night before

Hi ladies!
Can I prep my crock pot the night before, put it in the fridge and pop it right into my heating element in the morning and just turn it on Low to start cooking? I am worried that the heat might ruin the crock as it will be still cold from the fridge as it starts to heat up. This would save me alot of time in the morning since I wont have to prep everything at 7:00 am. Thanks in advance!!

Just found this thread-I am glad it has worked for some of you-it didn't work for me-I did that once and my crockpot has all these hairline cracks-it hasn't actually broken-found a replacement inside to replace it-

Now I put the prepped stuff into one of those crockpotbags
and then tied it and put it into a bowl for the next mornings dinner-

Now thats a great idea, I never thought of using the liners. I could prep everything inside of the liner bag, tie it up and stick it inside of the fridge then just pop it right into the crock pot in the morning! I use them anyways to avoid having to scrub my crock pot so that would work perfect! Thanks for tip! I can see my mornings getting easier!

Any time-I always am looking for an easy route for cooking and other household shortcut ideas!

Yeah those crockpot liners sure are an act of genius! Who ever created them sure is making money off of me!
