Sweet and Sour Meatballs

2
lbs ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1 onion, chopped
1 pinch salt
1 (12 oz) bottle chili sauce
2 tsp lemon juice
1 cup grape jelly

In a large bowl, combine beef, egg, onion and salt. Mix together, then shape into little balls. In slow cooker, combine chili sauce, lemon juice and grape jelly. Stir in meatballs and cook on high for 4-5 hours.

The amount of grease alone almost dictates that the meat has to be browned first.


I've been spooning it out on top of the dog's dry food, and they love it!

Have you ever seen another recipe where you put raw ground meat in a crockpot?

I think almost any kind of starch (potatoes, rice or noodles) would work.
