Tasty Refried Beans
2 T. margarine
1 t. minced garlic
2 cans refried beans (16 oz. each)
2 T. grated onion
2 T. each shredded jack and cheddar cheeses
Melt margarine in large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and stirring constantly, cook until golden. Stir in beans and onion. Reduce heat to medium. Cook 5 to 10 minutes. Stir occasionally until beans are thoroughly heated and mixture is thick and creamy. Serve piping hot. Garnish with cheeses. 130 calories per 1/2 cup.
Makes 4 cups.
