Fettuccine with Butter & Cheese

Fettuccine with Butter and Cheese

16 oz fettuccine
1 stick unsalted butter
1 cup freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano
Salt and pepper to taste

Bring a large pot of water to boil. In a large skillet, melt the butter and keep warm. Cook the pasta in the pot as pkg. directs. (If using fresh, pasta, cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until it rises to the top). Drain and add to skillet with a little of the cooking water. Add 1/2 cup cheese, salt and pepper and toss to mix well. Serve with remaining cheese. Makes 6 servings.
