Overnight Layer Salad

Overnight Layer Salad

1 medium head lettuce, torn
4 ribs celery, chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 box (10 oz) frozen peas, thawed, but not cooked
3 hard cooked eggs, chopped
6 to 8 slices bacon, fried crisp, crumbled
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
3 or 4 T. sugar
1/2 t. garlic salt
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Place lettuce pieces in bottom of large glass or wooden bowl. Sprinkle the celery over lettuce, the green onions over celery, peas over the green onions, then eggs and half the bacon. Make a dressing by mixing the sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar and garlic salt.Pour dressing over salad. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and remaining bacon over top. Chill overnight before serving. Serves 6 to 8
