Loaded Hash Brown Casserole

1 pkg. frozen hash browns, thawed, 30 oz
1 bag shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided, 16 oz
1 can cream of potato soup
1 container sour cream
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1/2 cup cooked, chopped bacon
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
3/4 cup chicken broth
Green onion for garnish

In large bowl, mix hash browns, 2 cups cheddar cheese, potato soup, sour cream, green onions, bacon, salt and pepper, mixing well. Pour chicken broth over hash brown mixture, stirring to mix. Spoon into a 13 x 9 inch dish. Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Preheat oven to 350. Allow dish to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Cook, covered, for 45 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with remaining 2 cups cheese. Bake for 15 minutes longer or until cooked through. Garnish with green onion if desired. Makes 1 pan

Hey girl....


It means that it CAN be refrigerated.... say you want to make it ahead of time and then bake it later.... it can be refrigerated but it doesn't need to be.

The ingredients cost me almost $15.


Not worth it.

The only thing I'd change would be to cut back on the green onions a little.
