REC: Fried Chicken

is what I am fixing tonight. I thought I'd share my fried chicken recipe
and see if anyone else has a good one. I am always looking to fry the
1 1/2 c. flour (add more f needed)
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
shortening (about 1 c.) melted
I cut up and skin the chicken. Then I soak it in buttermilk for at least
2 hours. Then mix the flour and seasonings. Dredge the chicken pieces
through the flour mixture. Slowly place the pieces in the melted shortening
(I cook it in an electric skillet). Use a medium heat setting. Cook for
about 25 minutes, until the juices run clear.
I can't wait to see if anyone else has a good fried chicken recipe.
