White Cheddar Popcorn

White Cheddar Popcorn

1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 t. salt
2 quarts popped corn
2 cups finely grated sharp white cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 300. In a small pan, over low heat, melt butter. Add salt. Place popcorn in large baking pan. Drizzle with butter; sprinkle with cheese. Toss to coat evenly. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring twice, until cheese melts and popcorn is hot. Serve at once.
Makes about 2 1/2 quarts
