Are you "previewing" Halloween candy treats to be sure the kids will enjoy them?!

My favorite treats are any kind of chocolate! I'm a non-discriminate chocoholic! :)

I have just started Zoya by Danielle Steel. I'll let you know how it is once I'm further in.

My favorite is caramel apples- though you don't get many of those these days. My daughter is not a big sweet eater so I indulge now and then just to get it out of the house. Skittles are a favorite of mine:) Am reading The Haunting of Hill House for our group read but might have to dust off one of my Barbara Michaels reads this weekend

Hey Maggie, can you recommend a Barbara Michaels (doesn't have to be just one!) for me?

Working at WalMart I see all kinds of candy every day. The Almond Joys and white chocolate Kit Kats send my imagination running, but Tootsie Rolls are still my favorite. As for Halloween am considering re-reading the Harry Potter series. Have to work the weekend so am going to miss handing out treats for the kiddos on Halloween. Dad's going to do that this year. Told him I can at least get bags of candy with my discount! LOL! We get to dress up Friday or Saturday at work. Don't know what creation yet; maybe go as myself. *g*

My husband usually samples the candy before I get to give it out. Once I even had to go out and buy a new bag. But this year I've hidden it in the closet and it hasn't been opened yet. Since I don't have kids, I haven't "liberated" their candy for my own selfish needs LOL, but we are often left with extra candy once Halloween is over. Since I've been trying to watch my weight, I will take any extra candy in to work where it will go quickly!! As for reading, this week I'm reading "The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax" by Dorothy Gilman and am enjoying it. A new author for me. Gae

My personal favs are Snickers and Reese's peanut butter cups. Absoulutely, I will liberated candy from the bags --- she who labors over costume making is entitled to share in the rewards!

This week's read is Barbara Delinsky's Three Wishes. Next up, Home to Harmony by Phillip Gulley. His books aren't books, they are more like having a true storyteller but the story is written instead of told, if that makes sense. I swear I know quite a few of the characters in his books!

Anyone read "A Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole (or O'Toole)?
