"A Handmaid's Tale" by Canadian author Margaret Atwood is absolutely one book I'll remember in five years!

I think there were several but if I had to choose one I would say "Lovely Bones." The haunting story told from a dead girls point of view captured images that I have never read before. It wasn't an upbeat, fun read but it was compelling and I think haunting is definitely the way to describe it.

I think it is probably 'Life of Pi'. That book was one that was really thought provoking. It left me with a lot of questions about the nature of reality, religious differences and an unsettled feeling. I will sure remember that book a few years from now.

I would have to say The Life of Pi (Jan Martel) and Sophie's Choice (William Styron). Both were fantastic and even though Sophie's Choice was difficult to get through, I'm glad I made the effort.

Life of Pi, by leaps and bounds. It was an amazing and enthralling reading experience for me. I'm glad to see that it touched others as deeply.

I know I've posted this under other questions but Ben Sherwood's 'The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud' is still my fave for 2004.

I had to let you know that I checked out that book from the library based on your review and I thought The Life and Death of Charlie St. Cloud was an awesome book.

I would have to say it was Blessed Are The Cheesemakers. It makes you realize how strong the power of love is and how when you feel unhappy with your life, if you're not afraid to make a change, it can be the greatest thing you'll ever do. When you're feeling down and out, you have to believe it will get better - and it does. Gae
