I'm just finishing "Perfect Match" by Jodi Picoult. I have like 5 pages left. It is excellent and very thought provoking. Next I'll be reading her "Salem Falls"
Right now I'm reading Hide And Seek by Ian Rankin. His character is Inspector John Rebus who works in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is the second in the series and I am enjoying it so far. You'd have to like detective mysteries to want to read this, as well as English/Scottish detectives to boot. So, if you like those two things, then I think you'll like this series. Gae
Well, I'm into Dean Koontz right now. I picked up his book, 'The Taking' because it looked interesting. It turned out to be an awesome book. He is taking a look at the nature of evil and the end is terrific.
I'm now reading his book, 'Odd Thomas'. This is a terrific book, too. I have about 30 pages left and I'm definitely hooked.
Well, right now I'm in the middle of "Ashes to Ashes" by Tami Hoag---my first by her. Here's what I picked up thrift store shopping the other day: "The Homing" by John Saul; "Tough Cookie" by Diane Mott Davidson; "Mercy" by Julie Garwood; also "Prime Cut" and "The Grilling Season" by Diane M. Davidson. And some I've purchased at bookstores recently: "The House" and "The Return" by Bentley Little; "With Red Hands" by Stephen Woodworth; "Royal Road to Fotheringay: The Story of Mary Queen of Scots" by Jean Plaidy. And then there's "State of Fear", which I haven't started yet!!
Oh, and then the other evening, my aunts and I were talking about Christopher Reeve, and I was saying how I loved the movie "Somewhere In Time", even though it's kinda corny. So one of my aunts said I should read the book and dug "Bid Time Return" by Richard Matheson out of her archives for me to read, I guess the movie was based on this book....
My sister in law and I went in together and bought a copy of The Da Vinci Code (I don't know why, but we were just too cheap to buy one each, in case we didn't like it!), the clerk at Costco made fun of my SIL when she bought it, saying she must be the LAST person on earth who hasn't read it yet! But she's one of two......I haven't read it YET! She's reading it first......
Not reading anything at the moment, but I will be starting The Winter of Our Discontent (John Steinbeck) this evening and hopefully, Mrs. Dalloway (Virginia Wolffe) sometime next week.
How could these not be on someone's reading list? lol
