I got a dwarf Meyer lemon tree and a pitcher plant yesterday, I've been wanting each of these for quite a while now and have had a hard time finding them.

That sounds a lot like HOrrocks here. We have two of these - one of them (head quarters) is much bigger. It is so much fun and a little over whelming to go through all of that. The only difference is the prices are fair, and it's only stuff that will grow in the state. Only some times do I find "exotic" stuff such as the peper plant (which is only barley hanging on - I need it to be summer!). I really want a miniture lemon tree some day, and an orange one. DH would LOVE the pitcher plant. I think I know what they look like - but not totally sure. Can you take a picture for me. I may have to investigate the availability of getting one because he would be THRILLED! He bought (and killed off) two venus fly traps - well actually the lady bugs i think did them in. I think for those kinds of plants you can do small bits of raw hamburger meat. I think I read that some where before.

This isn't the one I got, mine is only in a 2.5" pot, but a pic I found on the 'net...

Interesting - let me know how it does and then I'll have to decide if I get one for DH or not.

I don't have a meyer lemon tree, just a dwarf regular lemon tree - but I love it! I have it inside year round (i'm in ohio) but it is so lovely! and it produces both fruit and flowers - the flowers smell so good! it has been a joy, and is actually really easy to take care of ;-) I hope you like it!

I thought about getting one of these - I'd have to grow mine indoor too as I'm in Michigan. Do you get to eat the lemons or are they just for looks?

Hilary, does your lemon tree inside need lots of sun year round? I would love to have one too so am curious. :)
