I hope this is the right place to ask this. If not perhaps someone can point me to a better place.
First, let me say that I have no experience with gardening of any kind. The closest I've ever gotten is a cactus that lived on the back of my toilet for years. I'm sure the only reason it survived so long is because it didn't need anything more than a little water every couple months.
I moved into an appartment about 3 weeks ago that is on the ground floor and has a beautiful garden. It has what I'm told is a kiwi vine (I didn't even know they grew on vines..). This vine is sending out tendrils all over the place and one of them has latched onto a nearby tree. I don't want it to grow over this tree and kill it. It's close to latching onto a big pine tree that's nearby as well. I think it's a very pretty vine but I need these tendrils to get under control. WHat can I do to control these tendrils? Can I just snip them without harming the rest of the plant? Or is there something else I should be doing with it? There's no where else for it to grow except into the trees.
