Hello all . . . first post on this board : )

I bought a lilac bush about two years ago.

Your description sounded like a "blight" to me. So I googled "lilac blight" and came up with this.

It is not uncommon for lilacs to take several years to bloom even under the best conditions. You might want to consider getting another one that is blight resistant in the fall and start all over again.Sorry.

I am on my second lilac bush myself - and we aren't sure this one is going to make it either. It is doing just about as well as yours is - I'm going to pray that it keeps going, but I don't have a lot of faith that it well.

Maybe we will both be lucky and they will end up being alright. Let us know how it goes!

Yeah, I'm tempted to move it again, but

I wouldn't move it as that will definitely put it in more shock.

DH just told me last night that he pulled up big part of the bush as it was dead - but he said there is a little sprout that still seemed ok so we'll see.....
