What are the prime gardening times?

Having lived most of my life (36 years) in FL(zone 9), I was used to having 2 growing seasons (fall and spring). Now that we have lived in Wyoming (zone 4) for a while I have gotten used to only one (fairly short) gardening season So I am wondering what others here deal with for gardening seasons.

What is/are the prime gardening times of year in your part of the world?

we are probably pretty similar to your's, I usually do not plant anything prior to memorial day, and once labor day hits or shortly after we risk frost. I am in MN, not sure what the zone is to be honest.

Sounds pretty similar to our "season" here. I live on a hill so I usually plant the first week of June - I know people in town often plant around May 15. This year we had a freeze on June 7, so even waiting until the first of June is not a guarantee. lol

about the same for the first frost date. Right now we have several inches of snow on the ground and it is still falling. This is an early snow for us.

Zack is past the point of being able to learn to climb into a litter box, and also as a standard doxie the body is long.
